Patience is a virtue…one most of us don’t have in abundance.
I have to admit, I’m envious of people who seem to have unfailing patience. Impatience appears to run in the human race. We want what we want when we want it! This means we get frustrated, anxious, and even angry.
St. Philomena displayed patience in the most beautiful form; she was patient with her persecutors. She didn’t throw in the towel or scream in frustration. Instead, she endured all with faith and trust in God.
Dear Lord Jesus, we ask for the grace we need to be patient in all things, big and small. We know that we can be truly at peace in You. We ask this through St. Philomena’s intercession. Amen.
